Frequently Asked Questions

01

Are your items really hand made?

Yes.  All bracelets, earrings and necklaces you see for sale on this website have been 100% handmade on Thursday Island in the Torres Strait.

02

Are the nuts heavy?

Not at all.  Once the kukui nuts have been picked, they are then drilled and hollowed and left to dry.  The final polished kukui nut bracelets and earrings are lightweight.  A lei, however is a little different.  The ribbon and number of nuts (approx 30 in a standard lei) can make the leis seem slightly heavier than the bracelet, however it is still fairly lightweight.

03

Do you post Australia wide?
Yes, absolutely! We can deliver Australia wide, no matter where you are.  International orders may take a little longer to arrive - it is recommended that you opt for tracking where possible, to ensure you receive your order.  If you have any specific queries about postage, please do not hesitate to contact me.

04

Can you do custom orders?

Yes of course. That will depend on the designs and colours I have available.

05

Do you paint the Kukui Nuts yourself?

Unfortunately, I do not have the capacity to paint the nuts (as I also work full time).  Each design you see has been specifically selected and ordered from overseas, primarily Hawaii.  Hopefully in the future, I will be able to set up my own little 'studio' and paint the nuts myself.
